DGET, in an association with the Nationally awarded Getabout Training Services, is now providing driver training in the areas of Low Risk, Basic four wheel drive, On road / Off-road towing along with ATV / SSV in the southern Queensland area. This working relationship provides DGET with an amazing amount of behind the scenes experienced technical support structure, with the Getabout training staff being some of the most experienced people in their field.

Their towing courses as listed above offer the new or experienced driver with the knowledge and preparation to enter their new venture of towing. The course is open to any person on a full license (L plate drivers not accepted as towing on L plates is not legal) with standard box trailers, boat trailers, caravans and 5th Wheel trailers/caravans.
Low Risk course:
TLIC3036A – Apply safe car driving behaviour
This course is recommended for all “L” & “P” plate drivers, drivers under 25 years of age and anyone looking for a refresher. The course structure targets the skills required to identify potential issues that might arise on the road and discuss the required skills to deal with these events.
