Sidecars Swing Into Expo
It was over 70 years ago in Russia when Ural began manufacturing motorcycles for military use – which meant they needed to be suitable for harsh and demanding conditions. Today the company still continues to produce sidecar outfits that have a great classic look with integrated modern technologies and proven components.
In 2008 Jon Taylor (who retired in early 2017) orchestrated the first shipment of Urals into Australia, with the initial launch at Armidale, NSW. During the last eight years, Ural’s have transformed, incorporating modern technologies which preserving their classic appearance. The incorporation of fuel injection, disc brakes, new gel seats, a lower centre of gravity and a sophisticated quality control program has composed the newest generation of Urals. It is its iconic features including three wheels, a sidecar and a sleek vintage style that really makes a Ural stand out from the rest. The extra room allows riders to store more equipment, an extra passenger or even man’s best friend.
For the first time ever Ural Motorcycles, Australia will be at the 2017 Queensland Outdoor Adventure and Motoring Expo. Mat and Clare will be travelling with a selection of the latest Ural’s from Armidale, NSW to bring you the goods at Toowoomba Showgrounds from the 4th-6th August 2017! You will find a collection of Ural’s in the Berghofer Pavilion at site 107B.
